New Offices, New Worries, Another Holiday Season of Stress

Matthew,
So, Brother, how's the new office going so far? Any unexpected trials or blessings yet? I'm sure that you're enjoying the new digs and the shorter commute. Did you bring your equipment with you (you own it, right?)? Did your staff move with you as well? Did you ever get that whole embezzlement thing settled with your former employee?

Sharene,
It was nice talking with you on your birthday (sorry I didn't catch you, Matthew, but at least I made it with an impersonal email :)).

All,
It should be fun to see M&D again here in the lone star state. I'm sure by the time they arrive they'll be a bit tired of driving, but at least they won't have any time constraints to deal with. Amy has loaded up on flour, sugar, yeast, and other baking supplies in preparation for Mama's arrival (I'm hoping/assuming I'll be able to get at least one batch of cinnamon rolls out of her while she's here!!)

I would also like to know how it's going at Matthew's office.
I would be glad to make you cinnamon rolls anytime!!That is what I give to all our friends for Christmas. Stu is the delivery boy-he likes to do that part!
I'm envious that you will have M&D there- I don't think they will be coming to visit us at all anymore- same with Stu's mom. We are too far away, but we did have them closer to us than any of you for a long time- so, no whining!!!
p.s. I still haven't figured out how to make my own posting. there is no (post) on the top. DO I have to have my own blog first?)

Well, other than cold fingers for three weeks straight (worry and anxiety), things actually have gone very well. We are plugging along at the same rate I was downtown, here in the first few weeks of the month - so I can't complain. We are doing some advetising in the local high school and I am trying to get a newspaper ad done for some local papers as well. With the exception of 1 chair, everything else is basically new in the office, which is great - I actually have things that work when I need them to! I hired a new part time hygienist, and my other two employees came with me. We did get our embezzled money back - about 6 months later from the insurance company. So, for now, things are good - but the new debt payments loom in the future months...I am trying to get myself to live in the present, not the future, right!?! Have a great holiday season and enjoy the parents!

Sharene, you should see "new post" either on your "dashboard" page when you sign in, or if you are looking at the blog, it should be at the VERY top of the page next to your sign in name. Good luck!
